Most products on the market today are made with chemicals that were introduced several decades ago. Since then, scientists have found that many of these chemicals are related to cancer, asthma, birth defects and fertility problems. Some of these chemicals are in products we use every single day - our shampoo, our soap, our furniture, our mattresses. In many cases, manufacturers don't even have to list the ingredients on their packages or websites, so there's no way for you to know what you're really getting.
Since 1993, the Environmental Working Group has tracked chemical safety, and has called out bad chemicals and the companies that use them. They are the go-to resource for parents and consumers who want to choose better products for their health and their homes.
Enough is enough.
Based on the guideline set by EWG, the safety of ingredients are split into 3 main categories:
💚 Green: low hazard; safe to use
🧡 Orange: moderate hazard; use moderately
❤ Red: high hazard; I wouldn't touch that!
In Bare Nuhcessities, safety comes first. To us, personal care products such as wash, lotion, and wipes are things that we use on a daily basis and hazardous ingredients should be avoided at all costs.
When you see the EWG VERIFIED™ mark on a Bare Nuhcessities™ product, you will know that the product meets EWG’s strictest criteria for transparency and health. When you see the mark, you can be confident that the product:
☑️ Avoids EWG’s ingredients of concern

☑️ Provides full transparency
Products must fully disclose all ingredients, including ingredients used in “fragrance”.
☑️ Uses good manufacturing practices
